Partial Account Manager & Partial Administrative Assistant/Accounting Billing Specialist

Full Time Position

Account Manager work as a member of the Pioneer Press Sales Team directly with customers, managing projects through the plant. This position requires an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. In addition, this position will be trained to assist with general accounting and billing duties, this will include invoicing jobs, compiling payroll reports, and working with the accounting department on evaluating collected data, including general administrative tasks.

Over time it is anticipated that this position will evolve into a full time Account Manager Position, managing a book of client business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create or request estimates for projects
  • Convert estimates to jobs
  • Assist in the proofing process
  • Manage projects throughout the plant
  • Communicate details of job status to customers
  • Update customers with timelines
  • Review and update pricing levels for reprint orders
  • Attention to detail on jobs and administrative tasks is critical

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Training will be provided for this position, the main qualifications are the desire and ability to learn
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and be a part of a fun and vibrant growing company
  • A Proficiency in MS Office Suites, Excellent written and verbal skills are a big plus
  • Professional integrity and demeanor; prompt response time to internal and external customers, including accountability for punctual and consistent and regular attendance are essential.

DIGITAL PRESS / DESIGN SPECIALIST

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented problem-solver who is committed to delivering high-quality work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work cohesively with coworkers, and provide excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret job jackets to determine the type of production and time requirement needed
  • Preflight and prepare the digital proof
  • Fix/adjust files, as needed, or discuss problems with Account Manager
  • Determine stock, quantities, pagination, and set up to print on a digital press
  • Make necessary adjustments to files or equipment if a problem arises
  • Locate, pull stock, and load into the digital press
  • Produce printed materials while monitoring for quality throughout the print run
  • Help customers with their concepts and create print-ready projects based on these discussions
  • Be creative. Be efficient. Have fun!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has a thorough understanding of pre-press and printing processes, including offset and digital
  • Must be motivated, flexible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Is fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Discusses concepts or ideas with customers and then is able to design a print-ready piece
  • Has experience operating and maintaining digital presses
  • Can operate a Mac or a PC
  • Has experience working in a print shop.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, bend, and reach several times during a shift

ADDITIONAL EXPERTISE:

  • Experience working on a Xerox Iridesse or Ricoh 7210 digital press
  • Working knowledge of Prinergy workflow and/or Preps imposition software
  • Experience making plates for offset presses
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite

BINDERY AND SHIPPING ASSOCIATES

Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. AND 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Salary Range: $15 - $20/hour — negotiable with experience (this position is eligible for overtime)

JOB SUMMARY:

The job duties will vary significantly from day to day and the position requires versatility and quick adaptation to change based on production demands. Including but not limited to, machine operation — cutters, folders, stitchers, packaging, mailing & assembly of printed products — including delivery driving. Determine the method of shipment and prepare various shipping and mailing documents. Inspect and verify incoming goods against pack slips, record shortages, and reject damaged goods. This position is for a team player who works well with others and can enjoy the variety of the day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing various types of mailings — including EDDM, Presorted, First Class, etc
  • Performs process-related troubleshooting, correction, and routine preventative machine maintenance
  • Assists in cleaning up and maintaining a neat and orderly immediate work area
  • Operating forklift
  • Wrapping of skids
  • Coordinate with production, customers, and salesmen
  • Printing and organization of pack slips and labels
  • Delivery of finished product using company van
  • Perform various other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Read and write the English language
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication accurately.
  • Proficiency in using a ruler
  • Shipping experience desired
  • A good driving record is a must
  • Attention to detail is a must including inspection of printed material color, size, quantity, and other specifications
  • General mechanical skills
  • Complies with proper safety procedures and operations including cooperative nature with co-workers and supervisors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors 8+ hours, five days a week
  • Can lift 60 to 70 lbs. on an intermittent basis and 20 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; including large awkward items
  • Perform repetitive motions with your hands and arms, including pushing, pulling, lifting, fanning, gripping, twisting, including working in and around equipment with good mobility and body flexibility
